Volunteers
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2010 Home Care & Hospice First Tee Open. We are pleased to announce our new sponsor; National Association of Home Care and Hospice. Due to a change in our title sponsor, volunteers are required to purchase a new uniform this year. If you have volunteered previously PLEASE DO NOT WEAR ANY LOGOED ITEMS FROM PAST TOURNAMENTS. You will receive by mail or email, log-in information to register.
New volunteers should download, complete and return the Volunteer Application form (PDF 21K).
The following committees are available:
- Admissions: Check credentials, greet spectators.
- Caddie Registration: Provide caddies with information, equipment, food & beverage.
- Communications: Coordinate all communications regarding scoring.
- Contestant Hospitality Pebble Beach Act as hosts in contestant hospitality
- Contestant Registration Assist with contestant registration process
- Contestant Refreshments Act as hosts in the on-course contestant refreshment tents
- Distribution Delivery and collection of committee supplies
- Field Operations Assist with set-up and/or tear-down of tournament facilities and the distribution of golf carts
- Marshals Provide gallery control and ball spotting during the tournament
- Medical Assist in the first aid trailers
- Public Safety Assist with the security of the tournament
- Transportation Assist in operating spectator, contestant and physically challenged transportation
- Volunteer Headquarters Assist with volunteer registration and uniform distribution
- Walking Scorers Record statistics and scores. Must be able to walk 18 holes and have golf knowledge
Benefits of Volunteering
Each volunteer will receive the following:
- Volunteer uniform
- One volunteer committee badge, which allows entry to the tournament Monday through Sunday.
- Access to the Volunteer Hospitality tent with complimentary meals to volunteers who are working during breakfast or lunch hours. Volunteers must be in full uniform to take advantage of the services in the Volunteer Hospitality tent.
- Volunteer Thank You Party sponsored by Outback Steakhouse, September 5th (volunteer and one guest)
- Volunteer Golf Scramble at Twin Creeks Golf Course in Salinas, home of The First Tee of Monterey County on October 4th (tournament volunteers only)
