Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2011 Nature Valley First Tee Open. We are pleased to announce our new sponsor for 2011, Nature Valley. Due to a change in our title sponsor, volunteers are required to purchase a new uniform this year. If you have volunteered previously PLEASE DO NOT WEAR ANY LOGOED ITEMS FROM PAST TOURNAMENTS.

The following committees are available:

• Admissions: Check credentials, greet spectators. Fri - Sun
• Caddie Hospitality: Assist with caddie registration and hospitality. Tue - Sun
• Communications: Coordinate all communications regarding scoring. Fri - Sun
• Contestant Hospitality: Pebble Beach Act as hosts in contestant hospitality. Tue - Sun
• Contestant Registration: Assist with contestant registration process. Tue - Thu
• Contestant Refreshments: Act as hosts in the on-course contestant refreshment tents. Thu - Sun
• Corporate Hospitality: Act as host in corporate hospitality venue, check credentials. Fri - Sun
• Distribution: Delivery and collection of committee supplies. Tue - Sun
• First Aid: Assist in the first aid trailers. Thu - Sun
• Field Operations: Assist with set-up and/or tear-down of tournament facilities and the distribution of golf carts. Tue - Sun
• Marshals: Provide gallery control and ball spotting during the tournament. Fri - Sun
• Public Safety: Assist with the security of the tournament. Wed - Sun
• Transportation: Assist in operating 10th tee shuttle, contestant or special needs transportation. Tue - Sun
• Volunteer Headquarters: Assist with volunteer registration and uniform distribution. Tue - Sun
• Walking Scorers: Record statistics and scores. Must be able to walk 18 holes and have golf knowledge. Mandatory training Thursday, July 7. Fri - Sun

Each volunteer will receive the following:

• Volunteer uniform at a discounted price
• Access to the Volunteer Hospitality tent with complimentary meals to volunteers who are working during breakfast or lunch hours. Volunteers must be in full uniform to take advantage of the services in the Volunteer Hospitality tent.
• Volunteer Thank You Party sponsored by Outback Steakhouse (volunteer and one guest)
• Volunteer 9-Hole Golf Scramble at Twin Creeks Golf Course in Salinas, home of The First Tee of Monterey County in August (tournament volunteers only)
